New IPHONE launches July 11th.

For those of you with AT&T, Apple held their IPHONE conference today. The new iPHONE 3G launches on July 11th. It wll be 3G, which will take advantage of AT&T's broadband network(among other things).

The good thing about it? The 8GB will retail for $199, and the 16GB will retail for $299. This is HALF PRICE of what the current IPHONE sells for($400 and $500)$. Should be pretty good.

What a slap in the face to people who recently purchased the phone. Half the price? Geez. Seems like a repeat of the initial price cut. Shows how much Apple likes really squeeze their loyal early adopters.

Hopefully they will issue rebates like they did before when the dropped the price from $600 to $400.

Sure, you can unlock it. Why take the chance of bricking your phone when you have to update it though?

Not for the 1G & 2G people thats creamin their jeans for the 3G. I bet they're already looking at their phones like it's a turd. lol

At least they're not charging $600 for it though. They're just jacking up the service charges this time around.
