Default Been awhile

it's been awhile since I've been on here, and I've been doing a lot. i took all the body parts I need off, and I'm waiting for a decent time to take off work to fix my car. I also dropped the pedal rack off of it today in order to swap the tranny (T5) to my car. I'm using stinger-performance's walkthrough, and it's working fairly well. anyway, there's a switch and a sensor on the clutch pedal. The switch is connected to the pedal, and there's a sensor on the quadrant. Do i need this? I looked at my car and there are two connectors that I think would plug into the switch on the pedal. The stinger walkthrough also says that I'll have to grind down the speedo gear to fit or something. It has to with the rear-end. Can anyone explain this? Here's the walkthrough:http://www.stinger-performance.com/howto.html

Default RE: Been awhile

The switch on the pedel is for the starter so the car wont start in gear (with the clutch pedel up) the other should be for the nutral and backup safty switch on the transmission.

You have to grind the "nipple" of the auto speedo gear to about half its length for it to work in the manual car.

The gear needs to be used because your seedometer will be off when you install the manua trans with the auto rear end.
