Default JDM stage 1 kit

Just upgraded this weekend and words can not describe the difference. I have read a lot of posts about the gains, but never did I expect this much differenece from the Saleen 435 kit. Boost is instant, no throttle lag, and low end torque is amazing.
The facotry Ford throttle response problem is solved.
With the old factory tune, the car felt sluggish, heavy, and you had to lay in the throttle to build boost. I was actually dissapointed with the power and responsiveness when compared to my older 96 Vortech cobra....but I don't feel that way anymore. I would say the JDM kit was at least two to three times more noticable than installing the supercharger itself.

Default RE: JDM stage 1 kit

I said the same exact thing when I did mine! I actually did a stage II, but I think the program did a TON. Even if you do not race the car, this kit should be required! Anyone without some kind of stag kit is simply missing on on what the car SHOULD be. I was not impressed when I got mine at all especially coming from a C5Z06 until I installed my kit. Now I know it would be right with it! Congrats on your new car is all I can say after that install!

I also began with the Saleen 435 set up and was resonably happy, then after getting the 8lb(stage I) JDM kit @ 17timing, the difference was real nice. Now I'm on the JDM 12lb 550 tune, and the response is simular to the 8lb tune, just 55rwhp more fun. Erik
