Can't help you on your issue but I'm in the market for one as well and was wondering where you purchased yours from? If the problem is not normal, I don't want to run into the same issue...

RE: alum driveshaft
thanks for the link
just got off phone with manufacture of the one i bought, mine is i guess part of a buyout of 15 driveshafts HCM had on ebay, yes they told me it would fit, but at what expense im not sure
as i have to take it to a local driveshaft place so they can see if a rear CV joint can be made/fabricated to work with this driveshaft,
the guy was very informative on stuff, but couldnt exactly remember if/how the setup was installd, as they did these back in 05 before the launch of the current saleen stang
once the contract was met.. that was it
so now i have a alum DS with no rear CV joint LOL fun fun
i guess the old adage "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" is SO SO TRUE, but i figured its only a driveshaft why pay alot for it LOL
ive been contacted by 2 other ebay people saying they noticed i bought the same DS, asking if i had mine installd and if it workd etc.. so we have been keeping in touch with what is needed or is gonna take to make this work

Your CV joint should be part of the driveshaft. It's not a separate piece or anything. The only separate piece you should have is the adapter that allows the bigger DS to bolt up to the rear end.
