Default fmx tranny swap

I just swapped fmx trannys in my 1972 Mach 1. I replaced the original fmx with one out of a 1975 Bricklin. Everything is good with the exception of the car not going into gear. The tranny from the Bricklin had an electronic reverse lock-out on it. My original did not have this feature. Will this "new" tranny have to have this feature to function? If so, can anyone please let me know where I need to run the wires so I can hook up this feature? Please feel free to email me directly at www.dizzyd8740@yahoo.com. Thanks to anyone who knows what is wrong or for any suggestions.
