pastic or glass rear window

is it better to have a vinyl top with a plastic rearwindow or a glass rear window?
what are the cons and pros of both?

my opinion there are no pros on plastic windows, cons i think would be fading and stretching, and visibility then agian never had a plastic window, jus seen al of crappy ones.
i would get glass, pros about that visibility clear, easier to clean, wont fade, or stretch i know about glass cus i have one. again this is jus mi opinion, but im sure people on here will agree and add theres too....and weclome to the forums

I know when I helped my dad restore his 67 Mustang, we got rid of the plastic. You couldn't even see through the plastic because it was so badly weathered and scratched. The glass is much nicer, but does have a seam across it horizontally to fold up when putting the top down. You should go glass for sure in any case.

There IS actually a pro to plastic, it's much lighter than glass if you plan on saving weight[8D]

But in all seriousness, go with glass like everyone else is saying.

Well mine had the factory top..and it had aglass rear window.And I would think, like everyone else is saying, plastic can fade/chip/scratch.

they only con is thats its heavier than plastic but its not noticable weight if you trying to lose any, other than that i dont think there are any cons, the only con is that you havent got the glass one yet

only other pro for plastic would be if you have a heavy bass system the plastic wont shatter. Otherwise Glass all the way

Glass does not shatter from bass. Go with glass.

plastic is my opinion its lighter than glass the top seams to sit flater and today rear plastic windows are far better quality than years ago cons no rear dimister i dont care about it i drive my on nice days !!!! oh cheaper and way easier to install !! mine looks really nice !!!
