This guy came FLYING out of no where and got besides me on a main street, but it was only a half mile from the police station, so he got infront of me and I followed him down the road a couple miles...</P>
We missed a couple red lights and I was about to give up on racing him when we finally caught one!! I was thinking it was just your regular 98 GT 5 speed...the light turned green and he matched my launch, we were DEAD even in 1st gear, I out-shifted him hard going to 2nd, but he stayed right at my door and didn't lose or gain any ground after shifting, we went into 3rd and stayed DEAD even...I let off and he blew by me...we hit another light and I said to him "Holy s**t! What he hell is in that thing, I waste your year GT all the time!" and he starts laughing and says "99 Cobra motor swap" So we played around at the lights, this time from a 15 mph roll and the same thing happened...</P>
We pulled into a parking lot and shot the s**t for a while, his mods were 99 Cobra motor, 3.73 gears and a CAI. Not bad! But I was even more shocked after I found this out that I kept up with him, dead friggin even! I've never had a closer race in my life....it makes me reconsider trading this car in...</P>

its amazing, a warranty thats good for a few more years is a huge ordeal when buying a used car, but some are so eager to mod the hell outa the engine which will just void it if u do too much.
