Yea I went and signed it, it probably wont make a difference but what the hell will all the bitching and complaining i see on here do? At least if you complain on there it might mean more then complaining on here. Feel free to post this amongst other forums for the hell of it.

I posted a thread about it a while back.
It doesn't hurt to sign petitions but going to DC and paralyze that stupid town would be more effective.

Once an alternate way of fast low cost transportation arrives I will get that and enjoy my convenient lifestlye without paying high gas prices.

stupid ass petitions like that show big companies how stupid we are to think that they will actually have any effect. the market rules itself, we have to make good decisions to drive them to lowering prices.

I mean, I've torn up the bathroom or two in my day but DC'sa lot bigger than that.
Anyway, yeah the US dollar sucks right now and that's the cornerstone. How does the $ fare in the international community? Well, it's sucking. *ahem, NAFTA/outsourcing, lying foreign countries, etc*.
I also agree that signing a petition won't help the our economy.

I work at a refinery, and I can tell you that we're trying to expand and it's next to impossible. The local city refuses to grant the permitting required for the expansion unless the refinery agrees to let the city rape them in the ass on taxes.
