I'm planning a similar motor build with a 5 lug Baer brake upgrade. If you had to guess, what kind of HP and TRQ numbers do you think this settup makes? Thanks... http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/car/710035554.html Keeping in mind it's going into my notch. That saves some weight over the SN95.

RE: Would this take down a full exhaust EllisJuan?
If you were me would you replicate the above motor or just throw an S-trim on my current bolt on motor? I much prefer N/A but building that motor will cost more than the charger...

You'd still need all the supporting mods and if it were me I'd throw in a custom blower cam as well so I would just stick with the NA setup. An E-303 cam and a trickflow setup and you've got a pretty stout car

That's what I thought. Did you mean you would change the cam or install the blower cam with the charger? I'm guessing that motor would make 375 crank HP? Thanks Sarge.

Oops. I meant if I was going to put on a SC I'd ge the blower cam.
If I was staying NA I'd get the E cam. Depending on your tune I've seen NA cars from 290-320rwhp and if you got the right setup you've got a pretty stout little car.
SC cars are a little more potent but I don't really have enough experience with them but I've seen anywhere from 350-450rwhp blown 5.0's.

Stout is what I'm after. That build with the AFR 165's is about as agressive as I can go and still pass smog testing. The brakes alone are $4100. With the motor build I should be around 10 grand. It will be a VERY well rounded fox. I can't wait. The thing is if I hadn't bought my car I would be all over that SN95 and be wat ahead money wise. Who knows how badly that things been beat. Who builds a car like that and doesn't put the spurs to it...

If I was gonna go buy a Fox and build it, I'd do it right. Either a 331 or 347 stroker, a big cam, some goood flowin heads, and an even bigger shot all on some slicks/skinnies

That sounds like an awesome track car. I want all around street performance. My car is super light, it will have nosebleed brakes, will handle amazing, and rev fast all behind a twitchy little 306. If I can make close to stock Cobra crank HP in a far lighter package with the upgraded brakes and suspension that'll be enough to get me into trouble for now I think. The gutted track car would be fun on weekends though[8D].

Also isn't it sad that we have to spend the kind of money we do, all just to make up for 50 lousy cubes[:@].
