I emailed Saleen yesterday with a VIN on an 06' Supercharged Saleen asking if it was authentic, and this is the email I received.
Hello,
This vehicle is in our records as a Saleen built vehicle.
Bumper number is 06-0514
Color Is Red fire
Thanks,
Now he never mentions it being supercharged or not, and I can't get ahold of anyone I call. The numbers and everything else are saying the seller is being honest, but also I've went to testdrive a car and when I got there the owner said 'oh btw this was a 3v that the owner decided to supercharge himself.' I might be nitpicking here, but is it safe to assume that if it shows all the signs of a sc saleen, chances are it is authentic? Bumper number is 514 dunno if this helps or not. Thanks
*BTW the car is on the other side of the country so it isn't like I can just go look at it*

Judging by the owner's comment, it was supercharged afterwords. No big deal.
Sorry, the owners comments I was referring to was ANOTHER sc saleen I went to test drive. (Hard to test drive a car in Miami when I live in SoCal haha). But the only concern I would have is the one I looked at was really half ass done, I mean then two gauge pods there was white residue all over the dash and they werent centered properly, and the hood was a little off..That and the fact it gives me more assurance knowing it was done by Saleen professionals then Joe at Rent-A-Mechanic. NO Biggie, the important thing is knowing it's a true Saleen, which now I know it is, so I just gotta see how fast I get down there and swoop it up. Wait till you guys here the deal I'm gettin on this car...
Personally I would prefer to get confirmation on the SC designation because you should know if it was factory-equipped or not, or at least if not, who did the install (to ensure they are reputable), which can affect your resale.
They've had some staffing changes since Pati Reard retired see announcement in our SOEC forums and there you will find a link to the proper contact at Team Saleen to whom you can e-mail the VIN and ask for specifics.
