The best quote I have is $100.00 over dealer invoice to order the Mustang I want. What have others paid for their V6?

I paid 20960 for mine and the window sticker price was 22115.

You might better find a better price.

Mine was 24,500 sticker....That was the Premium, loaded, to include shaker 1000. I got them down to 21,800. Not the greatest in the world, but for here in DC it was pretty good.

That's pretty good, most people are lucky to get $500 above invoice. Is the the deal you worked before a trade-in or rebates (not that I think there would be any rebates.)?

Mine stickers at $24,550, invoice is currently $22,866. Since last fall for the same car sticker has gone up about $300 but invoice has gone up almost $1000. Sounds like you got yours for about invoice depending on when it was built.

That is the price +TTT no trade involved yet. Still trying to sell my Firebird privately. I am trying to compare apples to apples that is kind of hard to do when you include a trade. There are no rebates on Mustangs as of yet.

I paid MSRP--$28,440. Sticker was $29,990 because the dealer had added a stripe kit. I talked them down to the sticker price. Essentially, they threw the stripes in for free.

Goxley, me too. I worked on three different dealerships and couldn't get below sticker on a vert. The verts are in MUCH higher demand that the V6 coupes. Once I decided on what I was getting (black/ black/ red), I used forddirect.com to locate what I was looking for. The first two sold within 2 days of arriving on the lots (I tried dickering to get one below sticker and it sold out from under me). I bought the 3rd, it had been on the lot for 3 days. It had a tag next to the sticker that said "Market Adjustment- 3000.00". Yikes! At least I didn't have to pay the markup, they're making enough money just selling for sticker anyway. I'm sure the prices will come down in 6 months or so, but I have no regrets. Especially now that it appears Ford is dropping the crimson red upgrade. Verts rule By the way, in all my looking around I didn't see a single one in your nice color combo. I think that combo must be comparatively rare.

I know what you mean, Tres. Every sonic blue car I've seen has either black leather or gray cloth. Mine's the only one I've seen with the light parchment leather. I wish I could take credit for the combination, but I bought it out of the showroom. I originally ordered a silver GT coupe/red leather at the end of February. I found out 6 weeks later that I likely was not going to get my car this year. I really needed another car because I was handing my '98 F-150 over to my son for his high school graduation. I had seen the vert at the other dealer. So, I called them up. They still had it on the floor and the rest is history.

I bought some black pony floor mats and stuck the original light colored ones in storage to keep them clean. The new ones actually look pretty good against the light carpet. Plus they match the charcoal dash.

That red interior looks awesome with the black. There's gotta be some rubber-neckin' when people see you roll up at a stoplight. How's that red do when the sun shines directly on it? Does it get pretty hot or does it reflect it pretty well?

Wow...I wish I only paid what you all did. The sticker price for mine was around $26k...I paid $33k! The market adjustment was a bitch! I got the 05' V6 convert, automatic, black on black with grey leather interior, interior upgrade, exterior sport package. I was going to order a GT convert, but they wanted $41k for it! And I'm only 21, so my insurance was a b*tch too! So, in the end, this girl had to settle for a V6. Not complaining though, I love my V6

==Mine's the only one I've seen with the light parchment leather.==

Is it parchment? It looked like light graphite in the picture you posted of it.

==How's that red do when the sun shines directly on it? Does it get pretty hot or does it reflect it pretty well? ==

So far it seems fine, but the dog days of summer aren't here yet I have driven it top down on sunny days several times and it was comfortable. I knew the black/black would get hot, but I garage it at work and home, so it doesn't sit in the sun much.

==The sticker price for mine was around $26k...I paid $33k! ==

Oh man, that hurts. Surely they could have cut a young lady more slack than that! But you're happy and that's what counts. When I bought mine the saleslady was also trying to sell a V6 coupe to a 17 year old neighbor of hers, she said the insurance was going to be more than the car payment!

My bad, light graphite it is. Never actually checked vs. the option list--was guessing. It's good that you can leave it in a garage most of the time. It sure helped my black '98 F-150 keep its shine. Although it's been temporarily bumped out to let the 'Stang in the barn. I'm clearing out a spot in my mother-in-law's garage next door to keep it in.

Mine had a sticker price of $24,600. I ended up getting it for $24,500 after tax, tags, title all that crap.

I looked it up, I paid $400 over the invoice.

My v-6 Vert is on order.... my dealer (where I used to work) is telling me she'll be here in 4-6 weeks.

MSRP on mine is $30635
A-plan that i'll pay is $27307.84 plus taxes.

Any of you paying more than $500 over invoice for any V-6 is getting pounded too hard. Trust me guys... there are dealers in this world willing to move the unit. You may have more leeway with ordering your Stang instead of dickering over a stock unit on the lot... ordered units are above and beyond stock allocation. (I word for a Ford dealership for 3.5 years, in sales and management.)

Now if it's a GT you want.... well, best of luck to you. Keep in mind Ford is ramping up production BIG TIME for the '06's... and supply will outstrip demand quickly. If you're patient you'll be able to put those extra thousands into mods or downpayment to afford the GT over the V-6.
