Default ? on turbo engine internals

Hi new to the forum. i just got a 93 2.3 5 spd mustang. i got a 88 tc motor and turbo and computer.i want to swap it. what is all needed. can i use the factory engine harness in the car or do i have to get a tc harness? any help would be great. thank you

what is the horsepower rating on the stock 88 tc crankshaft and rods?
what are the stroke and rod lenght for the stock internals?
whats a good cam to run in the turbo motor?
whats agood aftermarket turbo?
what can the stock block be stroked to? safely
how much horsepower will the 7.5 rearend support up to until in breaks?

1. I've heard of over 600hp on a stock shortblock. 450 on a stock longblock.
2. No clue
3. Essinger makes nice race cams, though theres a few FoMoCo aftermarket cams, too. For a more DD level, Ranger Roller gives good low torque, but worse than stock in the high end.
4. Holset HX35 is an excellent upgrade turbo, or a T3/T4 hybrid.
5. Not really sure.. I know 2.5 is common, and I think I've heard of up to 3.0... But that was likely with a bore as well.
6. No clue

The rods can hold "about" 300hp. I say about because there are others who have 400+hp on stock rods just fine...
The crank... Huber finally bent his stock one doing 8.45 in the 1/4 mile, with 35 PSI of boost on a 137-140mm turbo.

what are the stroke and rod lenght for the stock internals?
I believe it's 3.78 is the stroke, not sure on length...

whats a good cam to run in the turbo motor?
What are you looking for? DD? Race? what?
Race - bo-port stage 2-4
DD - roller cam. A237 essy

whats agood aftermarket turbo?
Once again what do you want from the car? instent boost? or big power at a high RPM? I woud go with a HY35 for the best of both or a .60/.63 T3

what can the stock block be stroked to? safely
Huber has a tall deck running 3.0L of 4 cylinder furry. Everyone goes 2.5 because its easy to do pretty much but you'll need spacers as its a small jurnal crank and the 79-90 blocks are large jurnal.

how much horsepower will the 7.5 rearend support up to until in breaks?
About 300hp, but thats dumping the clutch at 5500 RPM

Yes it will, but it dosen't flow as good as a bobs log, rods, stingers, etc

I will answer one part of question. Best thing is to get it stock and get running. There islearing curve to the 2.3 turbo. Get much past 300 involves wide band, data loging, and stand alone computer, Not the stock one. So start out put the motor in, get it tuned and running good. Then come back for more advice. As far as wiring. Using mustang harness with vam pigtail pinned into it. Here read this site.
