Default Looking for some suggestions

I know I started a thread about a week ago but I have looked for it and it seems to have disappeared.

I have a 69 Fastback with a rear fold down seat. I was trying to find some stock placements for the speakers without adding subs.

I can get a significant discount on Infinity and JBL speakers and I am considering the following:

Kickpanels (ttocs if you can give me a few suppliers)

http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...amp;Region=USA

and for a "hat rack" setup I'm considering http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...amp;Region=USA

With a AVIC-Z3 headunit.

I honestly don't know what happened to my last thread but what I'm trying to find out (since my car went right to the shop) is will these work and does anyone have anything better as far as a suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you get a discount on any other brands????

If you must buy those two brands, a setup like this wouldn't be too bad...

Build your own kicks, it cost around $5 in mdf and $35 in fiberglass materials. I just built some for my 65 and theylook good and are 100% higher quality then the prefabs you can buy.

Front speakers: http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...amp;Region=USA

Rear speakers if you must have them: http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...amp;Region=USA(Do not use the tweeters they will destroy imaging)

Compamp: http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...MP&ser=POS

Run the 6x8's off the HU for rear fill.

Sub Amp: http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...MP&ser=POS

Subs: 2x http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...amp;Region=USA(DVC version would work as well)

&lt\\;P&gt\\;As ttocs guessed I work part-time at Best Buy.&amp\\;nbsp\\; They are the best I can get with the discount, and a significant one at that with the offer I found.&amp\\;nbsp\\; I’m&amp\\;nbsp\\;not looking for anything to vibrate my fillings or the bolts out of the car.&amp\\;nbsp\\; I want a good sounding system for cruising and driving around town on the weekends.&amp\\;nbsp\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;Maybe take a road trip from time to time, hence why I like the in dash GPS.&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;Thanks for your input and advice ttocs and PReal.&lt\\;/P&gt\\;

ask your installer about accomodations, but it looks like you figured it out already. Get it before you get tired of that place and want to fire bomb it like, ah nothing............

sooner or later you will have a story to tell at bestbuysux.org on either the disgruntled customer or employee side.

good luck.

Maybe so, but right now I'm enjoying it more than my full-time job and it's helping me pay for my classic mustang I've always wanted. I see it as a loss of a bit of free time but the gain of something I've always wanted.

hopefully the job will not ruin best buy for ya like it did me. After watching them bully their employees around for 2 yrs and generally treat the customers badley I have never looked at it the same........ I can remember when I used to love going there but now?

Sorry your experiences were not that great ttocs. I have been there about 2 months now and love it. Everyone is very nice and respectful. Granted I'm about 10 years older than a majority of the employees there, but as long as I enjoy it I'll stay there. I look at it this way if I'm going to work a second job I better like it.

That said I am going to take advantage of every discount I can to save money. After all money saved in one area of the car means more in another.
