Default aftermarket k-member vs. OEM stock X-member??

Are the aftermarket K-members better than the stock X-members. I know they are lighter, which is probably enough reason to pop the 100bucks for a maxm k-member, but I'm just wondering if anyone has 1st hand experience with same?? My car is a 01 saleen speedster clone built on a convert gt, eibach springs struts shocks, strut brace, welded sub frame connectors, style bar, 18" saleen rims...Thanks Ford fans! Lou
