Default Spyder driveshaft?

I have a 2006 GT whipple h.o. making 461 rwhp. Is it necessary to have a one piece drivehaft? If so is the spyder a good choice? I havent launched the car yet scared of braking something. Running Nitto 555r 305/35/18.

Not only is the spodershaft a quality piece it's much stronger than the stock piece and weighs a lot less. Definitely a great upgrade from the stock driveshaft. We've got the sprdershaft in stock with same day shipping so give me a call if you decide to get one and I'll take good care of you.

Thanks, Jared

If you are going to take it to the track and rip off some 1.6 second 60 foots, then yes. If not then no. When i went to the track I had the stock driveshaft in place, but I didn't launch the car hard, so i wasnt' worried about breaking it. I also ran it on the street with drag radials and would try to spin them in 1st, never a problem.

I do recommend a 1 piece just for the better feel it gives the whole car. Be sure to read TacoBills right up if you are going to install it yourself.

It loosens up the rotational mass quite a bit. It's one of the best modifications you can do to an S197. I highly reccomend it to everyone!
