I'm a GT owner, but I need the help of all you GT-500 owners out there. I'm thinking about ditching my sprare tire and just purchasing the compressor and tire sealant kit from Ford.

How is the system mounted in your GT500? Would you post a photo?

I noticed that the cardboard backing that covers the spare (i.e., the bottom of the trunk) is not quite as strong with the tire removed. How does the GT500 address this issue? Perhaps it doesn't?

Here ya go. I think it uses the metal rod to help support the carpet board. It weighs 6 pounds.
