Default Center caps/spinners for aftermarket Bullitt's

Just bought four 18x9 deep dish chrome Bullitt-style wheels from American Muscle.
The supplied center caps (black with silver "flaming M") look OK, though I was hoping I could use my OEM Ford tri-bar pony chrome "spinners". But don't fit - they grip the "lip" inside but don't seat far enough in to expand on the other side. So they'll sit there until you give them a light tap and they pop right off.

So, has anyone found any chrome spinners that fit the 18" deep dish chrome Bullitt's from American Muscle (aside from the ones offered on American Muscle, which require me to re-use my original center cap, which I don't have - I just have the spinners and those caps don't come off)? I saw the ones from BSR but they're spendy...
Or, a generic chrome cap? I'd prefer the spinners, but just a plain chrome (no lettering/design) cap would be fine as well.

Thanks,
-d

Default RE: Center caps/spinners for aftermarket Bullitt's

I have the same problem I order a set of the center caps from A.M. (tri pony) but they are out and that was 2 weeks ago. my tri-bar ponys are setting in a box now[:@] and I have a set of cobra center cap on that are driving me crazy because they do not belong on my V6. The only other pair that I have found are +$100 so I'm just going with Center Caps

Yes, American Muscle says they will be out of stock for another 2 weeks, and the same ones from wheelhq.com are also out of stock for weeks.
So for now looks like I will go with the caps that came with the rims, then see what I can find later. If you come across some that fit and look good, please advise.

Nixtang told me that their OEM Ford tri-bar pony caps did fit these rims, so I might order a set of those, but I'd much rather have chrome caps or spinners... The only option I have founf so far are the ones that screw in from the back, i.e. from BRS but they cost $200 (including the pony center cap) and I don't want to spend that much. I'm sure they're nice, but...

Maybe I can modify the spinners I have now - seems that they just do not seat down far enough - perhaps some careful grinding around the edges would do the trick. I don't know...I'll have to take a closer look. [&:]
