whoever said evo8 has 185 h.p stock are very mis informed. one of my good friends works at pruven performance. They are working on and dynoing evos all day, they are in the process of making the fastest evo in the u.s. An evo stock comes with around 270 horse to the horse and 230 horse to the wheels. if i were you i wouldnt race him, if he has anyclue how to launch and its not that hard i.e awd he will rip you

Yeah, well he didn't. He could not pull on me after we shifted out of first, so if you are telling me I will get beat by one only because they can launch at 4500 and leap out, then I don't feel too bad, and I am not too impressed. 4wd is hard to beat off the line, I understand that. But he could not move me any throughout the race...
yeah evo's only pull hard off the line. from a roll i can easily walk them. My friend owns a 2004 red srt-4 with just a mopar BOV and can keep up with them from a roll. I am also very impressed with the srt-4 neons. its a neon, but those things haul ass. Ive driven both the mustang gt and the srt-4 throughout my lifetime and i would have to say those neons are a tad faster then the GT's. I went to some srt-4 forums and there were a few people running 13.7 stock. Not bad!!
they r also not a top end car
Evo VIII top out at 156 if i'm not mistaken

Yep, but it takes quite a while for them to get there I hear. Oh, and yes those rt-4's are a tad faster than a stock gt, but it takes only a few mods to the mustang to mop them up..
a modified srt-4 can be a beast. There is this one chick who calls herself srtgurl, or something like that on the srtforums and she runs a 12.6 Pretty impressive!

Yeah if I was to own a low priced import it would be a Evo or an Impreza they are bad ass cars..... He would surely beat your stock mustang. Is that better to understand? Cdprowl37970.5696064815

i can see the anti-imports/rice thing but not when its such a bitchin machine like the STI and EVO...as long as the driver isnt an ass or a troll on here
