annoying feedback!!

well guys as you know im still having problems with my system...im using a kicker 350x2 amp bridged to 1 12" alpine type r in a sealed 12x12x12 box... i used to think i had a problem with my l.o.c. but now i know that it cant be that...everytime my trunk is open, the system plays normal....but as soon as i close it the sub goes apesh!t and passes this loud feedback as long as the trunk is closed...what do you guys think causes this??/

seems like a simple enough fix. Quit closin yer trunk!

in all seriousness it sounds like some kind of grounding issue but I have no idea what could be doing this. Can you give us some pics of the install?

well i had some vids on youtube.. thats before i realized that having the trunk down would cause this...i rewired everthing(l.o.c., amp, new ground, sub)...sometimes when imove the sub around the trunk i get more feedback at different areas...

what has been chewin on your LOC?

It is hard to tell what it sounds like on here but it sounds like the subs may be hitting something when they are moving. If the box is only an inch er two away from the wall this could be happening. If there is too much wire in the box that is not routed away from the moving part of the speaker(the cone) it can make a similar noise. Try removing the sub from the box and see if this could be happening

when i take it out of the box it stops...but when i move the box with the sub inside of it to cetain parts of the car it stops making that feedback noise

try switching the box around so that he subs are facing different directions to see if the wire inside could be doing it. Soif they were facingthe back of the trunk try them facing the front of the car(don't take the subs out, move the box). When the system is turn completly off just push on the cone of the sub so that it moves slowly and evenly till its max. IT should move smoothly and not make any noises. A blown speaker will make scratching and dragging noises.

lol u and me are on the same boat here lol...ive tried everything in the book bro lol...the speaker is fine and the amp is too when i hook up the ipod straight to it...but as soon as i use the car speakers this sheat happens...i really would hate taking it to circuit city and them charging me for something and them telling me i need a diff. headunit(one with aux. outputs) when i know it can be done like this

It sounds to me like the negative speaker wire is grounding out to something when thevoltage steps up. I'd wager a couple bucks on tracing your speaker wire and findingsome damaged insulation.

How that involves the trunk being down, I have no idea...

hmm ive replaced all the speaker wires with new ones...ive put in a new ground and ive used a new remote line and its all the same...i duno it kinda makes me just forget about bass lol

I think your speaker is slapping the wire inside it. You said the subs didn't do it out of the box right?
