Hey whats up guys, this is my first time here. So my friend is selling his 03 Cobra (Sonicblue)to me for 18k. Just wanna ask you if it is a bargain. From what I know he has replaced the T56 input shaft,he's replaced the crank(dont know why)and recently bought a new head since some idiot didnt replace the radiator cap. The car has about 35k and has full bassani exhaust pully tune and other mods I dont really remember. So like I said guys is this a good deal or what? I know Ive seen plenty of Cobra in my area for 22-28k and agian he is my friend so I kinda know this car.

That would be a really solid deal as long as everything is fine mechanically.

Just because he's your "friend" doesn't mean anything - take it to a Cobra shop... let the experts inspect it for you.

definitely find out why the crank was replaced. Are you sure he didnt say the crank pulley was replaced? If he did in fact mean the crankshaft, I would assume the front of the crank broke which usually occurs with an aftermarket lower with a overtightened manual belt tensioner and a twin screw.

Personally, the moment I heard that about the crank and the head I would walk, but since you know him get the all of the details you can first. That price sounds like a heck of deal.
