I am in the middle of converting my 95 5.0 to carb. My problem is the dist I pulled out has a longer shaft from the gear down than the one i'm putting in. AM I GOING TO PUMP OIL OR NOT!!! I see the hyd roller block oil pump driveshafts are diff than the non roller blocks any ideas?

i've never heard of this. if it doesnt pump oil then get a new drive shaft for the oil pump. best way to tell if your getting pressure or not before you hook up fuel and park crank the engine over and see if you are getting an oil pressure reading on your gauge

Yup I sure did, I stuffed modeling clay in the shaft installed it then removed it. There's more than enough shaft to turn the pump. Been runnin for a week now and no prob. Thank you all
