Installing UCA and LCAs this weekend......any tips?

I am not very familiar with the S197 yet. I just hope this is easier than the headers.

Anyway, I'm reaching out to see if any of you guys out there that have done this yourself have any tips or can warn me of any hardships they encountered. We are mechanically inclined, and have lots of tools and power tools; no lift, though. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

BMR has good instructions on how to install the upper control arm. See link below. I used them to install my Steeda UCA. Be prepared to take out the rear seat and to lower the gas tank. LCA's are straight forward.

Good stuff.....sounds easy enough. No need to completely drop the rear-end?

The LCAs are easy. It the UCA that is a pia. If you are not replacing the mount its a lot easier. Getting the mount out is not easy, you have to drop the fuel tank (you don't need to drop the rear end). If you have an impact wrench and some long extensions it will help a lot.It will be much easier than the headers.

Make sure you have the power lubricant for whatever you've got. Don't get into the build and realize you failed to buy the proper grease.

Good call on the lube......I'm sure I'll end up making at least one trip to the auto part store in the process.

Got the impact wrench and a few feet worth of extensions, too.

It's been raining all day; wasn't able to do it. I got a busy day tomorrow, but I;m off on Monday. I'll tackle them then.
