Default Got to race a few GTOs last night at the local

1/8 mile track. The Stang was running ok but still not hooking up like I would like. Blew away both of the 2 GTO turd boxesthat would run, Even if they had cut a good light it would not have mattered. The best either one ran was a 8.9 and he had some work done. I had the trunk unloaded this time. No plants and bags of dirtrolling around last night.
I was still spinning past 80 feet. Even with a good 1st to 2nd burn -out on Nitto 555s. I need some realstickiesto get it planted.Best I could run was a 8.594 with a 2.002 60ft.

What are your mods?

And please refrain from degrading other people's rides - not nice.

I am just tired of everyone telling me they (GTOs) will/ should blow me away all the time. All I am running is a intake/tune, UDs and exhaust. alongwith some suspension work. We were running at SummerDuck Dragway... alittle west of Fredericksburg Va.

What is your definition of 'worked' on? Those times for the GTOs are about what a stock LS1 GTO would run...

Do you ever run @ MIR or Richmond?

I agree with you, but there are members here that own them. We *try* to be nice to each other.

I ran a GTO on the street (with only a canned tune and cat-backs) and he got me out the hole, but halfway through 3rd gear I was riding his bumper, going on and off the throttle to not push him. I thought I was going to get whipped on, honestly.

P.S. I didn't mean to reply to Bam, but the OP.

Man they sucked. Never knew there was a 1/8th that close (I have a place in Manassas Park and Hampton). Good win(s) though.
