Has anyone had a concentric slave cylinder go out in their GT? If so what happened? I have a squeal in my car that I cannot seem to pin point. It is a bad squeak that only seems to happen when the car is cold, like it sits overnight, or say sits 4 hours. The squeal is rpms dependant, so kind of loud at idle, but give some rpm and it gets louder. Then as the car warms up it will go away. The problem is that I cannot get an exact loaction for where the noise might be coming from. It sounds like the front of the motor when I start it. But the way noisesreflect off the engine bay I can't be sure. But after I heard the noise the other day, the noise had gone away so I went to go to work, when I gace the car some gas and tried to let off the clutch the car let out this really loud squeal for a split second and then it went away. The clutch pedal feels fine though so that is why I am confused. Any advice or inputs are appreciated.
I am actually going to go out today and see if I got something on the belt that might be causing the issue. And the concentric slave cylinder is what Ford uses on our cars instead of a traditional throwout bearing, and from what I have been told it also replaced the pilot bearing. But I am still trying to get clarification on the pilot bearing portion.
I beleive there was a recall for some trannsmission to motor fitment issues. Causing a simliar problem that would go away when the motor warmed up. They basically remove the tranny and either put a small spacer in between or something else. Not sure.
Look through the TSBs for our cars and see what you find.

Hey kcmarti, I just got off the phone with Ford and the concentric slave cylinder replaces just what old school cars know as a throwout bearing. Our cars do still have a pilot bearing.
Hey kcmarti, you were dead on. I never saw anything on the belt, but I cleaned the belt and the pulleys, I put the belt back on and the noise was gone. The real test will be tomorrow once the belt is completely cold again. But for now everything is good to go.
