I read another post about this same problem but i didnt quite get how he fixed it so I'm hoping someone knows how lol.
K, well im hearing engine noise when my engine is on, and when i start the car the subwoofers make a loud fast tone kinda like a pop, but there fine its just something to do with the engine noise problem, i think it might be something with the RCA cables? im not sure..
I checked the ground on my amplifier and its fine do i need to look at the ground on my aftermarket deck or something? :S

You should always run power wires on one side of car and audio on the other. You also need to ground the amp closest to the power source as you can get.

not sure what that means but I think he is trying to say that you want to keep your ground as short as possible, as well as to make sure it is clean and solid to a paint free metal surface.
All lanzar, exept for the deck its pioneer. im going to make sure the ground is good first then check the rca's, why do they have to be so far from the power wire?
the RCA's need to be located away from the power source to avoid EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference)...this can not only be caused by running RCA's on the same side as the power wire, but also by running your RCA's from the head unit and weaving them through and around other power wires for the A/C, cigarette lighter, etc in order to get to the door sill to run them to the amp.

rca cables carry an un amplified signal. IF it is ran next to power cables, specifically large ones the cables can pick up the noise that is present in the power system of the car from the rotation of the alternator. When the rca cables pick up this noise it is very small but it is then fed to the amplifier and amplified. it is ok to run power cables next to speaker wires since the signal has already been through the amp. I have also seen people take this to another extreme and say that you should not run the remote turn on wire with the rca's and this is not true. The remote turn on is a low current turn on that will not cause a noise problem.
Rca's are really only get noise when ran next to large power consuming items. I have not hada problem picking up noise from odd items here-nor-there in 15 yrs of installing as long as you are using good equipment it should not be a problem.
you also might have a bad set of rca's. This is easy to check by just plugging in a temporary set that is run above the carpet. What is the amp gain set at?
pull the deck out and with the deck out run some new rcas from the deck to the amp. Just lay the rcasacross the sits dont hind them and turn the car on see if it still does it. If it still does it,then it could be a deck problem or an amp problem. (I have seen pioneer decks do this before throught the rca outputs.) If your still have the problem try this. Take the rcas and plug them in to a different rca output on the back of the radio (like the front or rear output) if it stops then its the one of your outputs on the deck. If that doesnt fix the problem it could be the amp "lanzer" possible. ( not to down what you have but lanzer isnt great) It could be that you just need a well know brand name amp. Alpine, rockford, jl, etc. you get what you pay for. Im not trying to be a dick or anything just trying to find the problem your having. hope this helps.
