for starters, i have a leaking spindle gear going into the rear end. i am working with an 83, so it is a small 7.5. i am wondering how easy the swap would be to an 86 & up 8.8? i am getting tired of crawling under every 300 miles or so to refill the rear end, and cleaning off all the 50 weight.
