I've got a 1987 Mustang 5.0 LX. With my power locks, when i hit the lock doors button, the lock pins go down, but the doors sometimes stay open even after i've closed them. why is this?

Have you pulled the door panels and checked the rods to make sure everything is connected properly? You've probably got a loose or disconnected rod but I've never seen one cause an intermittent problem, usually they'll just pop completely out and thats it, won't work till reconnected. If you haven't pulled the panels yet, be careful with the clips that hold em in, they break easy.
