Default msd radio noise

i see lots of people run msd ignitions here. what to do about extreme radio whistling? i have a noise filter, and the msd filter unit, but it whistles very loud. i have to turn my amp down so i can hear the radio. what a waste of a power amp. any suggestions? my amp is under the dash behind the stereo. msd box is mounted on passenger side next to air box. by the way i have an '86 gt vert if that matters.

^^^^if you're refering to that through the car speakers you hear a buzz / whistle/whine...or whatever.....spark plug wire radio suppression core may be bad= replace wires and retest..mine did that and that was the prob......could also have a bad diode in the alternator allowing ac ripple current to back feed... with the proper VAT test and knowledgable person..this test can be performed...and not at autozone.. they most likely will be clueless on how to test for a bad diode/stator in alt
