Default Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze

I recently picked up some Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze. I'm tired of polishing my Cobra everytime I put the smallest swirl or scratch in the paint...as I've noted in other threads. [8D]

The Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze is loaded with oils and fillers that are supposed to minimize or even hide all swirls and minor scratches, so yesterday what I did was polish 1/2 of my hood to be completely swirl/scratch free and left the other side as is. I applied the Finishing Touch Glaze to the unpolished side and looking at it from all angles in the sun, I couldn't find any of the scratches and swirls that were there before.

I've read that Glazes loaded with oils & fillers won't allow wax or a sealant to cure. I haven't seen anything to prove either way so I'm letting the glaze cure for 24 hours and I'll try to seal it with Opti-Seal and see what happens.

Cool Dan. Let us know how it goes. I've used it a couple of times now. I guess its been about 2 weeks ago, but applied Souveran over it. Looked great. I've never been that big on sealants (except Opti-Seal and OD-HS)

Are you gonna qd the hood and then lay down the OS or what??

Thanks for posting!!

Yeah I'll wipe down the hood with my ObessiveDetail QD and then apply the Opti-Seal.

I forgot to mention that it came in a ridiculously huge box packed with packaging peanuts. It must have just been building one massive static charge on it's FIVE day trip to my house (ugh...5 days is way too long haha). I took the bottle out and walked to my car without ever touching any door handles or anything.

I started to unscrew the cap and when I did, I touched the aluminum in the cap and got a MASSIVE SHOCK. It felt just like the time I plugged in my AC with my thumb on the prong. It suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

LMAO!!! Dude that sucks!!!!!! lol!! Man thats the funniest thing i've read today!!

I'm with you though. There is alot of oils and fillers in FTG. Lots of fillers.

I just got through cleaning my car. Tried out some CG's Wet Mirror finish. Applied it with the Flex and a white sonus pad. Then applied OD-Wet Obsession over it.
It looked really really really good. Real nice depth. Sorry Dan. Not trying to hijack your thread.

Man it really hurt. I actually didn't feel it in my hand the worst, it hurt the top of my head more than anything. I was standing on concrete too.. I was looking all around me. It was cloudy for a couple minutes, but I know I didn't get struck by lightning. I looked high and low for anything that could have shocked me because I was in complete disbelief that I just got so majorly owned by this Menzerna bottle. I guess all the cussing I did everyday waiting for the package to show up brought the karma. I've been spoiled by Justins quick shipping I guess.

Hijack all you want! I read all the combinations you use and look forward to trying them all at some point.

I just don't want to keep having at my finish with polish & compounds everytime a little flaw shows up, not until I have it cleared again. As long as I can get atleast a couple weeks out of the Menzerna with a sealant on top of it, I can cope...

I really think I just need a lesson on what's acceptable and what's not. I think my eye is faaaaaaar too picky. I really discovered it when I was standing in my garage from about 20 feet away and I caught a glimpse of a swirl in just the right light. I freaked out and hand applied the FTG to that spot.

Man I know what you mean. I see swirls and i'm like where's the SIP and a orange pad!!!

I just got a bottle of Justin's Swirl Buster. I'm looking forward to trying it out in the next couple of weeks.
SwirlBuster, Light Polish, Wet Glaze and Wet Obsession would be a series of products to use but, man, plan on taking all day!!!

I'll go take a couple of pics of the WMF, Wet Obsession
