my dear old dad and mom bought a new 1965 Mustang that was a real bright red, almost with a hint of orange in it. i cant seem to recall what the official name of that color was, but i seem to recall something along the lines of Poppy Red.

anybody have any idea?

yeah...this site here shows poppy red as a color from 65, so that very well could be it.

There were 2 reds in 64-65 and they were Rangoon Red (Code J) and Poppy Red (Code 3).
