Default does a throttle body spacer work?

Has anybody ever had one of those throttle body spacers. I've heard that they don't really work. The thing that blows me away is that they charge like $125 for those things. Thats a lot of money for a chunk of aluminum that dosen't do anything????

No, they do not work. They worked on carburated and throttle body injection motors.

The HP gained by a TB spacer is negated by the added weight
of the TB spacer itself. []

If I sold them I would not even say they work.. They suck! But no seriously, some have worked on certain applications. Just not our cars..

Only thing it really did was add the whistle, its sounds tight but i didnt get a gain in throttle response like tey say it will.

Default RE: does a throttle body spacer work?

I have the same one thats in that thread for sale and I can assure you it is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever bought. I would have gotten more use out of a black and white TV and an old Atari 2600 for that price. It added an interesting whistle but made me run slower at the local 1/8th. Paul from Pauls High Performance actually reccomended that I take it off if I wanted the performance. My best with it was a 9.80. My best with out it is a 9.54.
If you just absolutely want one give me $10 and pay shipping and its yours and at that price I'll still be ripping you off.
