98GT Mach460 Audio. recently i blew out my right door speaker. bought a pair of Pioneer 6x8's to replace both right and left door. I wired em up and they work...EXCEPT when i somewhat crank up any bass or main volume.

QUESTION: by replacing my Mach460 C.D. deck with a decent aftermarket one, will it fix my problem? if not. what are my options in keeping my upgraded fronts and maybe upgrading the tweeters and rear deck 6x8's.

ANY HELP PLEASE! Thx

is it distorting at higher volumes or higher bass levels?  what are the pioneer 6x8''''s rated at?
the system might be to strong for the speakers.  i dont know what the rms or peak is per channel for the mach systems.  you could try stronger handling speakers or run a lowpass filter to help filter out the bass from the pioneers.

the problem is that you have replaced an 8 ohm woofer with a 4 ohm full range driver and the factory amplifier does not like it since it has to do 2x as much work with that new speaker.  You can easily fix this if you do have a new deck and  wire it up correctly to bypass the factory amp.  Good news is that it is easy to do and I have step by step instructions that I will sell you for the small sum of 1 million rupies(I think about $1.32).  how ever if you tell me the check is in the mail then you can go ahead and take a look at the instructions on page 2 of my cardomain page to see how it is done.....
