Default How much optimum product to use

I did my first full detail this past Saturday and have a question about Optimum Compound/Poliseal. I know that the work time for these products is pretty long but it seems like they turn clear very quickly, which is normally a sign that the product is fully worked. How long can I really work the compound for if I'm using a PC?

Also, what is the correct amount to use? I have heard 3 pea sized drops of poliseal on a 6 inch pad. Does that same apply for the compound? I think I might have used a little to much.

In case anyone was on the fence about Optiseal, I used it and loved it. I looked at the bottle after I was done and it looked like I hadn't used any. The shine and slickness is incredible. I don't know if it's just me, but it looks better the next day. Is this a result of cure time?

It might look better after it cures. My Cobra always seems to look better a few hours after applying opti-seal.

The Optimum Poli Seal breaks down really fast. The Compound can be worked in for about 5 minutes. To load the pad start out with a couple of nickel sized dots, for each panel after that you only need a couple of pea sized dots

The Opti Seal does get better looking and slicker as it cures, which can take 24 hours. So basically, it will look better and will be slicker the next day.

Thanks for the info Juztang and thanks for the Optiseal. It's so easy and looks fantastic. How long is the sale going to last? I might need some more supplies.

No problem!

I was going to end the sale tomorrow, but now I think I'm going to extend it until Saturday!
