So I don't usually get any mail from anything besides my school and bank and I get this really cool looking catalog from CJPonyparts.com. It's all about mustangs and mustangs only but I've never signed up for anything with my mustang besides this site and the contract to buy my mustang with carmax(big mistake). I know it wasn't this site because my address isn't on here and I wouldn't think the forum owner would sell off the userlist anyway. This catalog is amazing but I wonder how they got my info? It's not like I got a random chevy catalog ya know?

I dont know EXACTLY why you did, I guess everycase could be different, but me and my friend bought our mustangs the same week.  I bought mine from a private seller and him from...Carmax....he got 2 different mustang catalogs and I didnt get any.  The common link...Carmax.  Could be a cowinkidink but I that would be my guess.

Carmax does sell your info, and they do spam you their selfs enethough they assured me that they would not when they asked for my info on a test drive.

I am currently dealing with their managment to remedy my issue with their weekly junk mail

I don't know about these days, but I know for a fact that in the past many states got some extra coin by selling basic car registration info to mass mailers.  They could get your name/address/car model through that.
