Well, I thought it would be rather easy. Just go to the store, pay my deducible, and get a new phone. Apparently, I can't do that. They gave me a number to call to file a claim with "phoneclaims". So I got off the phone and did it online...once you answer a few questions, they tell you that you must print out 4 pages, fill them out, and fax them with a photocopy of your id/proof of ownership. After that, they will call me to continue with my claim. Jesus ****ing christ, why would they make this so difficult...it's not like this with other service providers who just do it in the ****ing store. Anyone ever went through this lengthy process? Feels like I'm filing a claim with my damn car insurance...it's just a damn phone, geeze.
i did when i bought my cingular plan through tigerdirect.com it was some **** 3rd party insurance that required so much ****, i needed to put a ****ing police report. wtf is that. i said **** that i will just lose my $50 and never waste money on phone insurance again
People I know who have other providers just make a claim at the store and get it right then and there with out all the damn hassle. Just seems like you be able to do it at the damn store rather than worrying about faxing this and that.
yeah i did it about 6 months ago. i had to do everything cept for show them ID and fax and stuff, im about to make another claim cuz this phone got water damaged too - hopefully they didn't change the rule
