Posted in the Saleen section - but I though it deserved sharing with our Shelby brothers & sisters
Just got back from a LONG weekend at the Indiana SAAC Shelby Spring Fling, where the SCOA held it annual Indiana Reunion - which really isn't an Indiana reunion when you figure there are Saleens from IL, OH, KY, TN, MI, and WI

As usual, it was a FANTASTIC weekend. The forecast was sketchy, but Mother Nature apparently being a Mustang enthusiast kept it partly sunny and dry during all the schduled events during the 3 day weekend. This event attracts Mustangs of all varieties, as well as Tigers, Panteras, GT's and a PLETHORA of Shelbys. Seems like there are usually 30-40 Shelby's to oogle at, well this year there were a shade under 100 [sm=insomnia.gif] That is correct, about 50 early gen Shelbys were on hand and damn near 50 more S197 GT's and GT-500's!!
This year the SCOA took over the Club Participation award that has long been dominated by a regional MCA affiliate. We had ~20 vehicles, but even more club members (some weren't able to bring their Saleens). Quite an honor indeed for a club that is just into its 5th year [sm=bounceybounce.gif]
The two highlights of the event were Marc Allen allowing a few lucky folks the opportunity to climb in and take 1986 #19R for a few hot laps around the park (this is the first race car that went to victory lane) The other was when 1993 #51 (1 of only 5 in Calypso Green) came strolling in to hang with us for a little bit on Saleen Row in front of the cabins.
I could go on and on, but I think I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. You might want to grab a beer and sit back and relax.....seriously.....there are only 146 pics to enjoy
