has anybody found a strut tower brace for the 05' v6 yet. i like the steeda one but dont know if it will fit.

Sure you can reply back to them with this question. "Why does there website say GT only then?" They might just be trying to get a sale out of you or someone who does not know responded. I hate it when company's can't get there own info correct though.

Just wondering where you saw the reference that it's for the GT only? I've searched around and can't find anything stating this. The other style Strut Tower Braces from Steeda mention GT only (555-5716, 555-5725), but not P/N: 555-5715. Anyway I'll contact them again to verify I was talking to someone who had a clue. Oh, and I should mention I could only find reference to 555-5715 on the Steeda.ca site, not Steeda.com. Later.

I could not find the 5715 on their site either, so maybe it's not available online yet?

it should defintally fit..the mustang bodies are exactly the same width so there should be no problem

I was actually figuring the problem was a clearance issue with the hood. I don't know about anyone else, but when I look at how high it has to go to clear the engine of my car, and how close the hood is when you start to close it, there doesn't look like there's much in the way of room to stick a bar across... Maybe the GT is the same way, I personally haven't looked under the hood of a GT yet so I can't say for sure. It didn't take Steeda Canada too long to reply to me with my original question so hopefully I'll get a quick response on questioning if my source was correct. In the meantime I wouldn't be suprised that the 555-5715 part is GT only; everywhere I've looked that mentions the steeda part number doesn't specify GT only, but V6MustangStuff has the same picture and states GT only. So I guess we'll see if it's a mistake on their part, or if I got a reply from someone who just looked at the part description, saw it didn't mention GT only, and hence assumed it works with the V6. Later.

Thats is correct it is a clearance issue. The Gt motor sits lower is my understanding and the intake doesn't stick up as high. Remember they designed the new intake for the 4.0 to make the car sound better overall and maybe had to lengthen them out. I don't have to worry about it anymore thogh I got rid of mine. Too many problems for me to deal with. Was in the shop almost 3 weeks last month and got it back and still had problems so by by mustang hello Impala SS - Supercharged 3.8 that runs mid 14's stock. It's a limited production 04 with 240 horses. What a nice car it is!

I apologize for the confusion. I’m not sure who answered this question for you previously but your assumptions are correct – this bar will not fit the V6 models, it only works with the V8.

NPI has a Carbon Fiber strut tower brace with billet ends coming out. The unit was designed to work with V6 and V8 models. We took notes from the steeda billet end and redesigned some points and reangled the brace. The brace itself was reangled and comes in much lighter then the metal bar and much stronger. The brace was also designed to be stronger then the metal unit.
I have some mustang owners meeting up out here in VA to test the brace and fit in the next week or so. Prices will be cheaper then steeda units.

be carefull i bought the brace brought it home undid the bolts and it rested right on the engine cover. it rocked back and forth would not fit. i called steeda and they said oh? so even if it were close if the engine flexed it would crack the intake.

As far as new products go, after the STB brace and the stand alone strut tower caps, their will be a replacement carbon fiber radiator cowl and then a cover along the lines of the unit displayied in CF as well.
I've seen this product on ebay and really just by looking at it that NPI wouldn't be able to compensate for usable angle with the square dimensions of this product.
As state on other threads its tight quarters underneath this hood. It was a real pain trying to figure out how to compensate for the V6 people. But NPi definitely wanted something that could appeal to both. This STB will be around 290.00 maybe a little less. We are in the process of coming up with a alternative design to allow for a Much cheaper billet end. Most likely will end up being some flat that will attach to all for bolts.

Cool sounds like you have a lot of nice stuff coming out. I'll have to keep checking back. :)

Does it only come in the blue color? Not sure how that would look with mineral Grey.

At this time I don't think we'll be doing different colors because of the difficulty in getting carbon fiber right now but also because initial cost of investment. I think right now I'd have to make 50 complete units up front for each color, which would be like a 15K investment per color. The only color I could see getting a GP that big together is with the yellow mustang registry. But if people are whiling to try for a mass GP for each color I'd be whiling to do it. I could do GP's of 30 plus people but thats alot of people to go in.

Kenny Brown Performance is testing all their new suspension parts this week or next week. They usually have great stuff cause they specilaize in Mustangs and they take their time is designing them

thats quite a stetch going from a mustang to a impala ss. From teh statement of the 3.8L SC engine I would assume you didn't even get the real 94-96 impala SS with the 350.

Actually the brace is black, its just looks blue due to the flash.

Ahh ok. I hate it when cameras do that. If I hit my car at a wierd angle it makes it look Brown.
