Default General maintenance.

I just bought a 1991 5.8 on Saturday and I've got a few things that need fixing. This ranges from a new starter, to a new battery and possible engine repairs. We've (my parents and myself.) notice a small oil leak. We drove it from where we purchased it to our house which is a good three hour drive and the oil didn't decrease at all (or at the very least not drastically). It seems to be running from my engine down thepowertrain and just drips from there. My parents think it may either be valve covers or valve gaskets. Does this seem likely or may therelikely be bigger problems?

If this is the wrong board sorry. I just figured putting it in with the 351's would seem logical...
