Default Colbolt is a bad street car.

I was driving through town and a black Chevy colbolt kept trying to run me over, from light to light he was taking off real fast running up to my bumper, I take an on ramp to the intersate highway about 30 and figured I would leave him behind, so I punch it, he was gaining on me right behind all the wayto 65-70 and I let off and drove normally he races on by an I notice that he hastemp tags. WTF I run 12.41 in the 1/4 mile I should have left him right I mean there mid to high 14 second cars stock? so what gives.

My car is a 2005 Mustang GT 5R55S Auto with JBA LT Headers, JBA Catted H, Aluminum DS, 4.10 Gears, JLT CAI, Steeda CMDP, Steeda UDP 93 race tune. why did I get beat like that from a stock 2008 Cobolt SS?
I am a very good driver so no cracks on Driver Mod. I run 12.4 - 12.6 1/4 mile consistantly

You must be a damn good driver for a bolt-on S197 to hit mid 12's like that.
Sounds like he was pulley'ed and a few other bolt-ons but you're gonna have to wait for IWHINE the resident Cobalt SS guru

I don't know if they are out yet but the new turbo SS cobalt will be a handful on the highway for your car, so maybe it was one of those. And is a colbolt similar to a cobalt?[8D]

What kind of wheels did it have? 5 spoke or 10 spoke? that will answer your question to which cobalt it is.

The cobalt would have to have some work done to hang with you with that kind of e.t and trap. If it was s/c it was probably pullied, tuned, full exhuast, and some other boltons. Maybe even gm stage 3 with a 50 shot.

Tough to say though becuase my car has hung with and beat cars that it just shouldn't.

you type in your times, they are on an honor system. they have admins that will review your times to see if they are accurate, it will take time to have your times verified and approved. (I am 5197) it was supposed to be S197 which is the number I use a lot.

Here are my best time slips

I dont street race, I may do some spirited driving from time to time but do not speed.
I was wondering if my gears are holding me back fir this type of roll racing.
I went from 35 to 65 with a charger once and we were side by side.

The wheels were Black so I could not tell. But even a stock turbo cobolt is not going to run 12's from the show room
