bought a 97 explorer 5.0 today for $400 was this a good deal?

the heads say GT-40p on them and have the 4 notches instead of 3, this is the motor i think it is right??

yes, good heads and intake.

depending on the mileage of the motor, you might be able to just slap a cam in it and use it as a direct drop n swap motor

well the motor is sitting in a shop and has alot of rust on it so i wanna pull the heads and sand blast everything and port the heads
what cam? i dont want to go to crazy its just a project wile i drive the car around, the car is acculy for sale locally so if it sells ill put all the money into a new motor, but for now i just want to make about 350-400hp with the exploder i got
are the heads and intake the only good thing??
