Default Question about replacing the parking brake cable

On my 89 GT the parking brake does not work at all. The previous owner told me the cable broke. I want to replace the cable and I was wondering is the parking brake cable just one cable for both sides?

Default RE: Question about replacing the parking brake cable

it attaches to both rear brakes. there is a yoke just behind the handle that the single cable loops around. there is a 6" or so cable from the yoke to the handle. ford still handles this part.
