Albany NY Meet
Where: Meet at Crossgates Mall and eat lunch there, then drive (20 min) to Saratoga racetrack for pictures, then to Thatcher State Park (another 20-30min) for a BBQ
When: Meet at Crossgates at 11:00AM, May 25 2008
Who: ClubRSX.com mostly, but other locals and scattered other forums, definitely not a “Honda only” meet or anything like that, me and my co-organizer drive an Altima SER and a GMC truck, respectively, if that says anything
So, basically this is an all-around car enthusiast meet for anyone in the Northeastern US.
To estimate travel time, use the address “1 Crossgates Mall Road, Guilderland NY 12084”.

We have a confirmed 30-40 cars from ClubRSX.com and locals, and we’d like to make this meet as large as possible.
We’ll be handing out directions from Saratoga to Thatcher Park when we all meet at Crossgates in case anyone gets separated from the group…

Also, I live 15 minutes from Thatcher Park so I can bring the meat and other not-easily-stored items, but if anyone wants to volunteer to bring soda or chips or anything else, please let me know ASAP. If you can’t bring anything, a small donation to my wallet ($5 is fine) would be GREATLY appreciated.

DIRECTIONS:
From South:
-Find I-87 North and continue until the I-87/I90 exchange in Albany.
-Take Exit 24 and stay in your far right lane.
-You will approach a tollbooth, stay as far right as possible.
-Take the farthest off-ramp ramp to your right, “To Rt. 20/Western Ave.”
-Continue, staying in the far right lane and take the exit “Crossgates Mall Rd.”
-Stay in your left lane and make a left at the traffic light.
-You will go around a corner and will come to two traffic lights. 100ft past the 2nd light, there will be a lot on your left. Pull in and meet and greet!
From North:
-Find I-87 South and continue all the way PAST the I-90 off ramps (basically, cruise in the left/middle lanes until the speed limit drops to 45mph.
PLEASE actually slow to 45-50mph, state troopers using laser (NOT radar) are all over the place looking for people still going 60-70mph)
-Get in your right lane after you cross the two-lane bridge going over I-90 (the same place as the 45mph drop)
-Continue, staying in the far right lane and take the exit “Crossgates Mall Rd.”
-Stay in your left lane and make a left at the traffic light.
-You will go around a corner and will come to two traffic lights. 100ft past the 2nd light, there will be a lot on your left. Pull in and meet and greet!
From West:
-Find I-90 West and continue until the I-87/I-90 interchange in Albany.
-Take LEFT EXIT 24 “Albany/Montreal”
-After the tolls, get in your far right lane and take the farthest off-ramp ramp to your right, “To Rt. 20/Western Ave.”
-Continue, staying in the far right lane and take the exit “Crossgates Mall Rd.”
-Stay in your left lane and make a left at the traffic light.
-You will go around a corner and will come to two traffic lights. 100ft past the 2nd light, there will be a lot on your left. Pull in and meet and greet!
From East:
-Find I-90 West and continue past downtown Albany (you should see it on your left as you cross the Hudson River)
-Follow I-90 West until Exit 1S “To Rt. 20/Crossgates Mall Rd.”
-Continue, staying in the far right lane and take the exit “Crossgates Mall Rd.”
-Stay in your left lane and make a left at the traffic light.
-You will go around a corner and will come to two traffic lights. 100ft past the 2nd light, there will be a lot on your left. Pull in and meet and greet!
