I've been working on my car where the roofrail weather stripping goes and i found some rust so i took of the chrome piece to get to the rust. During the removeal  i found that there is some black thing like 2 sided tape holding the chrome peice in place. Does anyone no whats it call where to get it?  I need to put everything back but don't know what to do. thanks, heres some pics to help me explain.

its just to seal up the gap between the chrome and the contour of the door lines so air doesnt seap through.

Is that the chrome rain gutter over the doors?  I need to get mine off for paint.  Do they just pry off?

no it holds the rubber weather stripping to the door. its on the inside of the door jam. im just planning on masking mine off cause ive already ruined too many chome trimmings on my car so i have to get all new repro-not-fit-so-well kinds.

and about the raingutter trim, im leaving mine on cause i highly doubt you can get it back on once its off. i think its halway clipped on and halfway glued on with some of that special pink-colored water sealer they used at the factory. when my freind painted his stang, he pryed his off but didnt bother putting new trim on cause he just painted it the color of the body. looks real clean. it actaully looks like he just painted the chrome but if you take the chrome off it doesnt look any different. its the same shape. does that make sense? the chrome piece is just an outer skin of what really underneath...

Yeah, the body shop guy suggested I just mask it.  He probably had a reason for saying that since they are having me take everything else off.
