Default Need a new head unit

I have a 1994 GT that did not come with a cd player when I bought it. There is two wires in the hole, one for the antenna and one with the wire plug. The stereo system is not the MACH stereo, so should I be able to get a harness adaptor and plug a new head unit in ? I have heard some horror stories regarding stereo install's in these cars.

Yes there is a harness.

No it's not hard, one of the easiest cars to install a new headunit into. People make our cars a huge deal but they aren't at all.

Default RE: Need a new head unit

page 2 of my cardomain page shows how to integrate into the mach system, it is not as bad as its rep most people just do not understand it. There should be the antenna hrns as well as two hrns's for the deck. They are the same shape although one is the power side and has 5-6 wires in it and the other is the speaker side that has 8(the black hrns I believe). The speaker hrns actually is the exact same hrns that I point to no page 2 of my cardomain page. Go to a local auto parts store and get a standard for 70-1770 hrns and it is as easy as white to white, black to black, ect.........
