I got a quote from a local company named AMP Performance for a Whipple installation. They were on Pinks awhile back. They wanted almost $1400 for the installation and another $1000 for the dyno tune. Are you kidding me, I wouldnt ever pay this. For those of you that had yours installed what did you pay??

I payed $1200 for the install...ALONG with gauges (Wideband A/F, Mech. Vac/Boost, and also Electric Oil Pressure) There is the FRPP tuner that comes with the kit and that tune is suprisingly strong and runs wellI checked up on getting a better tune though and it should be around $475 with 3 pulls...and the tuning

the stock tune is fine to start so I would skip the custom tune and the dyno to start. Trust me, you will go plenty fast. You can always go hog wild later, with dyno, tune, smaller pulleys, nitrous, new 5.0 motor, bigger supercharger, another new motor, new clutch, new 6 speed, new rear etc etc etc
