Well my dad and I are looking for another car so i can get the mustang insured.
What are some good sites to look for cars?
Besides craigslist.
And man all the small sedans have gone up so much.
I was looking at a 99 integra and they were selling it for for 6000.

Darn insurrance people, You should buy a corvair on ebay and ask him if it will do?:D Love the corvair!

Try ebay though you can come across some great things, or perhaps your local thrifty nickel.

I would say you should find a new insurance company. that sounds like they just want to make you get another car and take more of your money.

just tell them you are gonna use someone else if they dont insure you.

if you're not driving an extra car, then get a worthless pile of crap to have it insured and sitting in your backyard.
No point in spending money for something you are not gonna use ;-)

If I were you...I would use my energy to find a new insurance company instead of finding a new car.

However, you might try any local want ad type papers in your area. Our "local website" even has an area that has "for sale" and "wanted to buy" type ads.

Another idea might be to try the local Carmax. Back a few years ago I had a long commute to work so I went to Carmax and found a Ford Escort with low miles for not very much. There was nothing fancy about the Escort, it didn't even have power windows or locks. But while I was commuting 70 or 80 miles a day it was perfect with good gas milage, cheap parts, cheap to replace the tires when needed and so forth. My plan was to drive the Escort till it died and leave it where it died. Instead, I got rid of the long commute for a ten minute commute and eventually sold it.
