Does anyone have a pic or two of their stang at the stock height? My car seems to sit abnormally high and was curios how much higher than normal. I would think that with dropping a v8 in a v6 body the front would have dropped some. But it did sit a year or so without a motor at all and then it sat with just a long block without a tranny for about another 3. So I am thinking that it not having any wieght on it had something to do with it but the rear sits high too. What do you guys think?
If you are wondering the tires are 195 14r 70 all the way around. I know......skinny as hell but its all I had laying around that has any tread on them.

The motor is in it lol. I've been driving it pretty much every day for the last 2 weeks. I have a 306 with iron heads backed by a c4. I have taken out the rear seat, the carpet, the sound deadening, and have the bare minimum in the engine compartment. Those pics are today with a full tank of gas. I do still have power steering and a clutch fan. I can only imagine how much of a drop it would be if I was to throw on some lowering springs. lol

I put my weight on the back and it dropped about a 1/2 an inch.......I only weigh 125lbs though.

Mine isn't much higher than yours it doesn't seem. You do have a bigger wheel but your wheels and tires are not much taller than mine all together. What size tires are on yours?

Nice job cleaning up that interior too

See there is part of the problem. My tire height is 24.7 inches while yours is  25.6 inches. I really need to find me a set of ponies to put on my car. I hate looking at these 195/70r14's. I did have some 215's but I burned them off already lol.

Keep an eye on craiglist. I picked up some bullitts the other day for $100. You could also pick up the frpp springs. They'll lower it about .75 inches in the front and about 1.25 inches in the back.

I watch it every couple of days and when the deal comes up I don't have the extra cash to pick up a set of ponies.

I was looking for a little lower than that once I do get some springs. I was about 1.5 all the way around.

i was talking to a guy from ford and he said the stock hieght for fox bodys was 27.25 inches at the highest part of the fender on all four wheels. he a had a fox too. anyways i didn't know how the tire size issue would effect it. i walked outside and measured mine and he was dead on, and i have 245/45/17 on my car. yours looks pretty high though

Wheel size will affect the height a little and a smaller wheel/tired combo will leave a bigger gap between the tire and the fender. If I was to put on a set of ponies with the right tire size it probably wouldn't look as bad.
As for my height
Driver front 27.5
        rear  27.25
Pass Front  26.5
rear    27 (a little low on air but enough to raise it that much)
Nitrous bob which eibachs do you have on the 93? Thats how I want mine to look. By the way nice burnout pics on your myspace

I think the pass rear would be right if the front wasn't dropped like it is.

I took these measurements just before I installed the H&R springs so that I would know exactly how much the H&R's lowered my car.

Stock-- center of fender with 215 60  15

Front Left 26" Front Right 26-1/16"

Rear Left 26- 7/8" Rear Right 26-3/4"

Now I don't feel as bad lol. Thanks ALMOST STOCK.

But back to another question,  would not having the weight of an engine and trans in the car for a couple of years cause the car to sit higher than it used to even with more weight???
