being someone who has not picked his gt500 up yet....this is very informing...thx. I would have never knew there was a supercharger lapse etc and you have to set your shift point so low for break in period. .i thought iwas simply get it and hit the freaking gas
thanks for the info....seriously. I guess I will read the book on this...I just find this interesting considering they install the supersnake and or KR upgrades prior to this break in periond..I wonder what type of a difference that makes....must read owners manual on my first day...thats interesting as my second day of ownership I will be going on a cruise...I wonder if maybe I should not do this? any opinions and or advice...SORRY OP to hijack your thread, but you brought up some interesting info...thx

If you read in your owners manual,You will not get full performance until a continuous 5 miles have been driven,Some sort of break in feature set at the factory.

I took Terry the tiger for ride in mine last night and skated the tires from a 20mph roll,As soon as they broke loose it went right to 6,000 rpm in a hurry. You are in for some fun times!Terry was impressed.

Yes,

You better READ the manual carefully.....Regardless if you get the SuperSnake or KR, you will still have to break the SC in SLOWLY! When I picked up mine from Shelby in Vegas, I was told go easy on the SC for 200 miles with frequent Cool down periods.....Granted, I had to drive home to phoenix right away, but I did not jump on the HP at all until I had about 350 miles on it and was safely back home and cooled down a few times....
