The only downside is the air can flow better and can dry out the blinker fluid, so you might have to check that a bit more frequently. But its a good trade off.

everything is good... do it, it restricts airflow to do exaclty it's name. make the car quiter for old ladies... it is quiter due to lack of airflow which reduces hp it's not significant, but if you could find 5 hp 10 places for free.... that is noticible and yeah.... your not out there yet ?

FYI, it's in the front right fender well on the other side of the air filter.

But you know how on some care the blinkers are flashing too slow or too fast? That's due to an improper amount of blinker fluid. And the resevoir for the fluid is located pretty close to your air box. And by removing the air silencer you are allowing more air to flow by the blinker fluid, which will obviously dry it out faster. But I wouldn't worry about it unless you notice a problem with the blinkers. Although it might be a good idea just to go outside and make sure its topped up (but not over full, you dont want them blinking too fast), if you have a hard time finding it, I am sure a mechanic wouldnt't mind showing or checking for you if you ask nicely.

ORIGINAL: joe_5.0 ok thanks Hey guys, i'ma be the party pooper and let him in. There is no such thing as blinker fluid. It's a very old mechanics/gearheads joke. Someone's complainin about there car or something and you ask, "did you check the blinker fluid?" and they agree, then normally they think about it, and realize that blinkers don't require fluid, then everyone gets a good laugh. lol It's all good though, with the mock up products and how-to page it can be confusing. lol

I wonder if he went and checked... or even brought it to a mechanic and asked? That'd be hilarious. But it's all in good humor, dont take this too serious.
