Well I live in Jackson, MI (lower MI) and all the shops around me want 500-$1000 for the install (with me providing the parts) so do any of you know any good shops around me that could do it for less? If not Im most likely going to try it myself. Id be willing to drive a couple hours to find a good shop with a good price.

$500 is arip off
$1000 is retarded

keep looking.

about trying it yourself: DONT
i wouldnt do it beacuse you have to make absolutely sure that
the gears come together just right. this isnt possible with the naked eye.
the backlash must also be set right.
this aint a simple bolt on.

Are you saying $500-1000 then add another $500 for the parts?

Or you mean that $500-1000 TOTAL?

Usual they go by hours... the shop near me charges $100/hr which is pretty crazy but meh...

The $500-$1000 was just the quote on the labor, I would still have to spend around $600 or so on parts.
